Thanks for all of the wonderful comments on Noel's Blanket!
As promised, I have written up a tutorial for the technique I used to make the blanket piece using short rows. You can find it here (and there's a link to it on the sidebar).
Since I don't seem to be able to have comments on pages (even though "allow comments" is checked on), if you have any comments or suggestions, please leave them here. This is the first tutorial I've written, so your input would be most appreciated.

Hi Divine L,
Thanks so much for including a link to the Warm Hands Network on your site. I can see that we’re already getting hits from you – good kharma for you! By the way, when we met, I was rushing in and out of Bridgehead. I have a huge favor to ask of you. I want to learn to make socks. Got the yarn, got the needles, casted on, and somehow can’t get further than that. I’m going to try to get to the next knit-out. Can I pick your brain/needles?
Thanks!
This is most excellent. I’ll have to play with. And complete my degree in engineering first. (kidding). I like how you kept track on graphs, because I can well imagine it would be easy to get, and stay, off kilter. Thanks so much !!
Your blanket rectangle is so pretty! Thanks for teaching this. The graph with the row numbers was so helpful. Am adding this to my must-learn list.
I love your blanket!! Any chance you’ll share the whole pattern–it’s gorgeous! I’m going t try a rectangle scarf, to practice the technique. You are so talented!

Friendly greetings from Brazil!
I discovered your blog by accident while I was looking for a good explanation for short rows. And wow!
What for a beautiful blanket. This will be for sure one of my projects in a near future. Thanks to share this wonder. Grace
That looks interesting; I think I’m going to try it on a pair of socks.
