I live near the arboretum in Ottawa (next to Dow's Lake). I spend a lot of time there, year round, as it's a wonderful place where my dog can run and play off leash.
Earlier in the summer, I came upon some rather odd graffiti on a building there. I finally remembered this past weekend to take my camera with me, so I could capture it.
All four sides of the buildings are covered in green and blue tea pots. I'm at a loss to understand this. Was the building attacked by a group of tea-loving hoodlums with blue and green spray paint? Is this the work of a cult? Why tea pots? Is this a common graffiti theme?
Of course, while I was there getting pictures of tea pots, I had to snap a photo or two (or ten) of my dog, Macha
She's 11 years old, and the poor sweetie hates this time of year. She is allergic to ragweed, and she's miserable from early August until the first frost. She's a very itchy baby.

Does it make me a bad person if I love that graffiti?
That’s funny! I’m imagining a gang of seniors – out looking for trouble – painting teapots on buildings…..Macha’s a sweetie
Love the tea pot graffit, in answer maybe you should knit a few flat ‘cozies’ for the pots and sneak up in the night to cover them… hilarious. Poor Macha
How perfectly whimsical! Not that I condone the defacement of buildings, but I have to admit those taggers are pretty clever. I’ll have to wander over to the arboretum and see this for myself.
I like the tea cozy idea.
The wierd part for me is that it doesn’t look like typical graffiti either…in fact the “handwriting” is downright…um…teacherish? Tea lovin’ rebels unite!
Poor Macha – I kinda know how she feels. My body likes to try to beat up ragweed too.
BTW…awesome socks…I want to check out that i-cord next time…
Macha is gorgeous! And I think Knatolee may be the teapot tagger!
