Yesterday a group of Ottawa Knitters headed out to the country to J's place, for her 2nd (annual?) Kool-Aid dyeing party. The weather was absolutely perfect – warm and sunny, with low humidity. This was my first time dyeing yarn, and what a great way to try it out! We were a group of 10, including our hostess J., Tara, Nancy, Mairi, Jo, Sarah, Linda, Lisa, another Sarah, and me.
We had niddy-noddies
Yarn swinging (and yet another interesting picture of Sarah on my blog – I'm working on a collection)
Lots of Kool-Aid (and some acid dyes)
Artistic Visions
Great colours
Yarn hanging from trees
Of course, it's not just about the dyeing. There was also some knitting going on.
Some spinning
And kittens
Some of which are still looking for homes. There sure are some cuties there.
Thanks again J. for having us over. I sure hope you do this again next year!

It looks like you had a blast. Good thing there’s no Paypal button for those kitties. Look at those blue eyes!
I’m surprised you did’nt take one of those adorable kittens home! But you’d end up having to knit something for it come winter!
Can I have a kitten?!? Hehe
That Dying Party looks like fun! I love the shots of the yarn hanging from the trees.
Wow, you are so very lucky to have such a great group of knitting friends to hang with.
I like your collection… lol! Thanks for the photos and write up. It was such a great time!
